Amazing experience on a VW repair! Last month 3 things happened in short order: our windshield cracked, we found out the hood release was broken, and the check oil light came on. Stressful! Got a great recommendation from my Buy Nothing group for JF Motors and wow did they deliver. I called and initially they said it might be a week+ for me to get in, but then said swing by and we will see if we can at least get the hood open and put some oil in for peace of mind. Confirmed it was broken after trying for a solid 15-20mins but then said they would squeeze me into the schedule. I got a ride to Enterprise and they gave me a discount code for my rental car. They kept me updated on everything and they offer a 10% discount to new clients. I had my car back within 4 days and couldn't be happier with the customer service or the repair service. As a female customer with admittedly very little car knowledge, I've had some really bad treatment from car dealerships and mechanic shops over the years, but J&F is my go-to option now.

I was in the midst of travel and frantic as my car wouldn't start, so was looking for a dependable mechanic for a 2012 Porsche Cayenne that wouldn't charge me an arm and a leg at the dealership, but also would provide quality service with a fairly complicated vehicle. A friend who has an Audi highly recommended J & F. I called J & F and they were extremely professional and helpful and let me bring my car in immediately. I got my car jumped and, literally, while turning into the J & F parking lot, my car died in the street and wouldn't start again. I panicked and rest assured, the J & F team immediately ran out to my car to push it into the parking lot safely (phew!). They are very knowledgeable about German cars (hard to find in DC). On the day of my appointment, they quickly performed a diagnostic test and fixed the issue (dead battery), taking note of prior issues I'd had with the vehicle to thoroughly inspect any possible cause (I'd had my battery replaced a year ago, so was thinking it could be something else - turns out just a bad battery previously installed by another auto repair shop). They provided comprehensive and helpful recommendations for other services. I cannot recommend J & F more. Very friendly, professional, and did great work with my car. They even followed up a few weeks later to make sure everything was still going well with the car. It's been a few weeks and it's been driving perfectly ever since I picked it up!!! Beyond happy to have found J & F and will be a long-term customer.
