About Us
J&F Motors Ltd was founded by Joseph Anderson and Gordon Fletcher. Both men were BMW factory trained master technicians. They also held many positions at Heisman BMW that gave them great insight into the strengths and weaknesses of a franchise dealership.
After decades of working in the franchise environment, the two men thought they could do things better? So in September 1979 they broke ties with BMW North America and opened an Independent BMW Service Center (J&F Motors Ltd).
No longer tied to BMW of North America, They could pursue the business model they felt better served the DC metro area BMW owner & vehicle. J&F Motors was an instant success.
Joe & Gordon controlled the growth of the company so that quality never suffered. They demanded the best and brightest employees, the finest equipment, & a staff that always took the time to explain what service & repairs were needed. They always made sure that one of them was onsite to meet with customers or give tours of the 15,000 square foot facility to new comers. Joe & Gordon truly believed in building relationships.
These basic principles are still present today with the 2nd generation of owners. Joe & Gordon retired March of 2009 after running the Premier Independent Service Center in the DC metro area for 30 years.
Before retiring they handpicked three long time employees Greg Fermo, & Mike Lillis to take over. They had been groomed for the previous twenty years to carry on the tradition of excellence set by Joe & Gordon.

In response to customers’ requests over the last 40 plus years J&F Motors Ltd has added MINI COOPER, AUDI, PORSCHE, VW, MERCEDES, & VOLVO to the list of vehicles they specialize in, making J&F Motors Ltd your complete center for European Auto Repair.
